Break the sound barrier.

Together we can break the sound barrier and raise money for charity.

Join us on Sunday 4th November 2018 to help us run 767 miles in one hour and break the sound barrier.

The science bit – The sound barrier or sonic barrier is a popular term for the sudden increase in aerodynamic drag and other effects experienced by an aircraft or other object when it approaches supersonic speed. When aircraft first began to be able to reach close to supersonic speed, these effects were seen as constituting a barrier making supersonic speed very difficult or impossible.

In dry air at 20 °C (68 °F), the sound barrier is reached when an object moves at a speed of 343 metres per second (about 767 mph, 1234 km/h or 1,125 ft/s).

Entry fee €25.

We have partnered with the RaceRunner App to track you when you run, wherever you run, everybody is tracked using the APP.

Each runner receives the following

  • The Break the sound barrier medal
  • Lifetime access to the RaceRunner app, a high performance training app
  • E-bib
  • 0 to 5k training plan
